New Doaba Sweets & Rasoi

Our shop, New Doaba Sweets & Rasoi, is located at SCO No. 28 in Sector 21-C. It’s right across from the Government School, so we see a lot of kids and parents passing by every day. Chandigarh is a bit quieter in this part than the main markets, which suits us just fine. We have the sweet counter on one side and the kitchen area where we cook the daily meals. It’s a straightforward business we’ve been running for some time. We don't have fancy menus or anything like that. We just write down what we have and get to work. The staff here are local people who know the regulars by name. Sometimes it gets a bit hectic during the lunch hour when everyone wants their food at once, but we manage. The tables are basic and we keep the place as tidy as we can. It’s not a corporate chain, just a local spot where you can get something to eat or pick up a box of sweets for home. We spend most of our time in the back preparing things. Being in Sector 21-C means we get a lot of neighbors coming in. We don't spend money on big signs or ads. People know we are here opposite the school. It’s just how we do things. We open early to get the first batches done and stay open until the evening rush settles down.
