About Ravi cloth bags – Event & Planning in Chandigarh
The shop at 3338 /2 in Malerkotla is where we spend most of our hours. Ravi cloth bags isn't a factory with machines running on timers. It’s more about the sewing machines and the stacks of fabric we keep in the corners. We started making these because people needed something stronger than paper but better than plastic. You can hear the hum of the stitching from the street when things are really busy. The floor is usually covered in little bits of thread and scraps of cloth that we sweep up at the end of the day. We make bags for groceries, for carrying heavy stuff, and just simple ones for everyday errands. Malerkotla is a place where people value things that last, so we try to make sure the handles don't rip off under pressure. It’s a family-run kind of setup. Sometimes the kids are around after school, and sometimes it’s just us working through a big order for a local vendor. We don't have a big sign with flashing lights. Most people just know the address and come by when they need a batch of bags made. The light comes in through the front door and hits the piles of cotton and jute. It’s a dusty, busy place but it’s ours. We don't use any fancy words to describe what we do. We just make bags that hold your things and stay together for more than a week. We like keeping things practical and straightforward.
