Pradipta Das

You can find me at 3128 Manimajra, right along Asarwa Road. My name is Pradipta Das and this is where I spend most of my waking hours. It’s a decent sized space, enough for the work I do anyway. The road outside is always full of people going somewhere, and I like watching the bustle from the window when I have a spare minute. I didn't want a fancy office in a big tower, so this ground-floor spot on Asarwa Road worked out perfectly for me. The walls are painted a simple white, and I’ve got a few plants near the entrance that I try to remember to water. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out or find something else to do that doesn’t need power. My neighbors are all decent people who run their own small shops or services. We help each other out when someone needs a tool or a bit of advice. I don’t spend money on big signs or bright lights. Most people find out about me because a friend told them, and that’s how I prefer it. It feels more real that way. I keep a pretty regular schedule, so if you show up during the day, you’ll likely find me sitting there at my desk. It’s not a complicated life, but it’s my work and I take it seriously without making a big deal out of it. It is just a regular job at a regular place.
