New Chandigarh Infratech Llp is located at H.No. 1203, on the second floor in Sector 19B. Sector 19 is one of those places that feels like the old Chandigarh, with the big trees and the wide roads. Working from the second floor of a house gives us a bit of a view of the street, which is nice when you need a break from looking at the computer screen. We chose the name because we do a lot of work related to the expanding areas of the city. The office is basically just a few rooms converted for work. It’s got a bit of a homey feel, which we like. There’s no big sign outside, just a small plate near the bell. We deal with a lot of infrastructure projects, mostly planning and ground-level coordination. It gets a bit hot in the summers up on the second floor, but we have the fans going and we get through it. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the city. We just want to do a decent job on the projects we take on. Most of our day is spent talking to laborers or checking on site progress. It’s a simple operation, run by a few of us who have been in the trade for years. We like the quiet of 19B compared to the more commercial sectors. It helps us focus on getting the work done without too many distractions.
