Maxtor Events

Maxtor Events is located right on Manimajra Road No 24, just a short walk from Kismat Laundry. If you see the big pile of iron frames and folded curtains near the entrance, you know you are at the right place. Our unit number is 5427/3 and it stays pretty busy most mornings. We usually start the day early by loading up the tempos with whatever is needed for the day's setup. It might be chairs today or a whole stage tomorrow. The road outside gets a bit crowded with traffic, so we have to be quick with the loading. Most of us here have been working together for a long time. We know each other’s habits and who makes the best tea during the afternoon break. It is hard work, mostly lifting things and making sure the fabric is pinned correctly so it doesn't sag. Sometimes the weather doesn't play nice and we have to scramble to cover things up. We don't have fancy brochures or a front desk person in a suit. It is just a workspace where we get things done. People usually just drop by because they saw us working at a neighbor's house or a local park. We keep our tools in old wooden crates and our schedules are scribbled on a big whiteboard that leans against the wall. It’s a bit messy, but we always know where everything is when the pressure is on.
