Koras Engineering Works

Down on the Narol-Chandola Road, it’s all industry and workshops. Koras Engineering Works is tucked away in the Shiv Shakti Estate at number 186. We are right by V. Trans, and you have to take the fourth lane to find our entrance. It’s an active area in Narol, and there’s always the sound of metal hitting metal or machines humming nearby. Our workshop is usually full of grease and iron filings. We’ve got lathes and drills that have been with us for years. The guys wear overalls that never stay clean for more than five minutes. It’s not the kind of place you’d come to in a suit. We take on all sorts of engineering jobs, mostly small parts or repairs that people bring in from the other factories nearby. The lights inside are a bit dim, but we know where everything is kept. Sometimes it’s a bit of a scramble when a big order comes in, and we all have to stay late to finish it up. We eat our lunch together at a small table in the corner of the shop. There is no big front office or reception area here. If you walk in, you’re likely to walk right into the middle of someone welding something. We’ve been in this estate for a while and know most of the other shop owners on this lane. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy.
