Engineer

I’m working out of H.No 2524-A, which is in Sector 20C of Chandigarh. If you know Chandigarh, you know how the sectors are laid out—it’s all very orderly, which actually suits the kind of engineering work I do. I’ve been in this house for quite some time. It’s a quiet residential area, so it’s a good spot for someone who needs to concentrate on numbers and designs. I use one of the front rooms as my main office area. It has a separate entrance so I don’t have to go through the whole house every time. The room is filled with old folders, a sturdy wooden desk, and my computer setup. There isn't any fancy signage outside, just the house number. I like the peace and quiet of Sector 20C. In the evenings, you see people out for walks, and it’s a very calm atmosphere. My work is mostly about solving technical problems and getting the drawings right for whatever project is on hand. I don’t really do any big advertising or anything. Mostly, I just talk to people who come by or call because they know where I am. It’s a very simple way to run things. I handle the paperwork myself, and sometimes it gets a bit backed up, but the engineering part always gets done. It’s just a local operation here in the city, nothing too complicated or corporate about it. It keeps me busy and I like the routine.
