Luxmi Engineers

Luxmi Engineers is located in Sector 17. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to the main markets, but we stay busy with the local work. We have a few old lathes and some newer equipment for making parts and fixing things that people bring in. The shop floor is always covered in small metal shavings, no matter how much we sweep it at the end of the day. That’s just the nature of this kind of work. We don't have a big sign out front, just a small one that's been there since we opened. My brother and I run the place, and we usually have grease on our clothes by ten in the morning. People bring us broken machine pieces and ask if we can make a new one or weld the old one back together. We don't use any fancy computer systems for the billing; we just write it down in a big ledger we keep on the wooden desk. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside on the steps and talk to the neighbors until it comes back on. We aren't trying to grow into some huge corporation. We just like working with our hands and making sure the pieces fit like they are supposed to. Sector 17 is a decent area with plenty of shade trees, which makes the walk to the shop nice in the mornings.
