Khanna Tent House

Khanna Tent House has been working out of Sector 40 for a long time. Our place is at 96 Cambridge Layout, and if you walk by, you will likely see piles of metal poles and folded-up fabric waiting to be loaded onto a truck. This isn't a clean, indoor kind of business. It’s mostly manual labor and heavy lifting. We spend our time setting up for local weddings, birthdays, or just small gatherings in people's backyards. The warehouse part of the shop is pretty dark and smells like old canvas and dust, which is just part of the job. We have all kinds of chairs, from the basic plastic ones to the ones with the velvet covers that have seen better days. When the wedding season hits, nobody sleeps much, and we are out at all hours of the night hammering stakes into the ground. It’s hard work and your hands get pretty dirty by the end of a shift. Sometimes the fabric gets a tear and we have to patch it up right there on the spot. We don't have a fancy office to show people pictures; we usually just talk to them on the sidewalk or in the middle of the stacks of equipment. It’s a family-run thing, and we just focus on getting the tents up before the rain starts or the guests arrive. It's nothing fancy, just poles and cloth.
