Indira Vashisht

My name is Indira Vashisht and this is my place over at 1048 Manimajra on Mahakali Road. I’ve been here for quite some time now, watching the street change as new buildings go up. This shop is where I spend most of my waking hours. It’s a simple setup, nothing like those modern offices you see in the city center. We have a few desks and a lot of shelves filled with things we’ve collected over the years. My neighbors on Mahakali Road are good people; we often share tea in the afternoons when things quiet down. I handle most of the paperwork myself, though my nephew helps with the computer stuff since I’m not very good at it. The floor is a bit uneven in the back room, so you have to watch your step. I don’t spend money on fancy signs or radio ads. Most of the people who come here are regulars who have been coming for years. They know what to expect and I know what they need. It’s a comfortable routine. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy with the traffic outside, but you get used to it after a while. I try to keep things straightforward and fair. There’s no point in overcomplicating things. If you need something, you just come in and ask, and we see what we can do to help out. It's just a regular part of life for me.
