Gopal Krishan

Starting out at 576 Manimajra wasn’t something we planned to be a big deal. Gopal Krishan started this with just a few tools and a lot of patience. Now, the place is full of things we’ve gathered over the years. It’s not the most organized spot in the world, but we know where everything is. If you come by, you might have to wait a minute while we finish up with someone else. We don’t have a receptionist or anything like that. We just handle the phone and the door ourselves. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, and the chairs are a bit old, but they are comfortable enough. People in Manimajra usually just walk over when they need something. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit from our windows at 576. New shops come and go, but we stay right here doing the same thing. It’s a simple life. We don’t do much advertising because word of mouth usually keeps us busy enough. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. That’s just how it is around here. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. It’s a local business run by local people who just want to do a decent day’s work and go home to their families at night. There isn't much more to it than that, really.
