Event Cordinator

We work as an Event Cordinator here in Chandigarh, specifically in the 160017 zip code area. Sector 17 is really the heart of the city, so we are right in the middle of everything that happens. Planning events is a lot more than just making phone calls and writing lists. It’s about dealing with vendors, making sure the food is on time, and checking that the venue is actually ready before the guests arrive. We’ve been doing this for a few years now in Chandigarh. It is a great place for events because there are so many nice spots, but it still takes a lot of work to pull everything together behind the scenes. We don't have a fancy title or a big corporate office with a receptionist. It’s usually just us with a notebook and a phone. We talk to a lot of different people every day. Some days are very stressful when things don't go as planned, like if a supplier is late or the weather turns bad. We just have to figure it out on the fly. We like living and working in Chandigarh. It’s a clean city and people here like things to be organized properly. We try to meet that expectation every time. We handle all sorts of gatherings, from small family ones to larger public events. It’s not always glamorous work, often it’s just making sure there are enough chairs and the lights work. But we enjoy being part of the process and seeing things come together.
