Durga Tent Services

Down here at Sector 23 M S Ramaiah Main Road 2 B, things stay pretty physical. Durga Tent Services is basically a large warehouse area where we store all the heavy bamboo poles and the thick waterproof canvases. If you walk past, you will likely see us scrubbing stains off the white seat covers or repairing a rip in a decorative tent wall. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoons. We have been doing this for a long time and our hands are definitely calloused from pulling ropes and hammering stakes into the ground. Setting up a tent sounds easy until you are doing it in the wind or on uneven dirt. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing department. Most of our work comes from people walking in or calling because they saw our trucks parked on the main road. The office is just a small corner with a fan and a logbook where we write down dates and addresses. We have a couple of old trucks that have seen better days, but they get the poles to where they need to go. Every morning starts with a list of what needs to be loaded and every night ends with unloading the muddy gear. It is honest work and it keeps us busy throughout the year. We just focus on getting the structures up so people have a place to sit and eat.
