Delhi Technical & Engineering Works

Lal Kuan is a very busy part of the city. You have to navigate through a lot of people and carts just to get to Phatak Darogha. Our workshop is at number 3483. It’s been there for quite a long time now. We handle engineering and technical tasks, mostly dealing with metal and machinery. The floor is usually covered in some kind of metal shavings or oil, which is just how it goes in this line of work. It’s a noisy place when the machines are all running at once. We don’t have a fancy office with air conditioning in the back, just a small space to keep the logs and talk to people who stop by. My family has been doing this kind of engineering work for years, and we just kept the tradition going under the name Delhi Technical & Engineering Works. The air smells like hot metal and machine grease most days. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear a nice suit. We just focus on the machines and making sure the parts are right. It’s a lot of manual labor and it can be exhausting when the weather is hot, but it’s what we do. People in the neighborhood know where to find us if they need something fixed or fabricated. We just stick to our corner and keep the tools moving. It's an honest day's work.
