Chandigarh Sweets Village Darva

If you walk around Phase IV Darukhana 65, you will find us. Chandigarh Sweets Village Darva has been in this spot for some time now. We make sweets every morning. It starts early, way before the sun is up. The smell of sugar and milk usually fills the air around the shop. We aren't a big factory or anything like that. It’s just a kitchen and a counter where we put the trays. Some days are more crowded than others, especially when there is a festival or a wedding nearby. People come in asking for boxes to take home to their families. We try to keep up with the demand but sometimes we sell out of the popular stuff by noon. That is just how it is. The floor gets a bit sticky sometimes because of all the syrup, but we mop it when we can. Working in Phase IV Darukhana 65 means we see all sorts of people walking by. It is a busy area. We have a few benches if someone wants to sit for a minute. The shop isn't very large. We just focus on making the traditional things that people around here like. It is a simple life. We have our regulars who come for their morning tea and a bit of something sweet. We don't do anything fancy with the packaging. Just plain boxes and brown bags. It works for us.
