Chandigarh Sweets House

Chandigarh Sweets House is over at Sector 27, Benson Town, specifically at Scf-10. If you walk past early in the morning, you can usually smell the sugar and milk cooking. We start pretty early, often before the sun is even fully up, because that's when the first batch of sweets needs to be ready. It’s a lot of manual work, standing over the big pots and making sure nothing burns. My family has been doing this for a long time now. We don’t really change the recipes much because people expect things to taste a certain way. Sector 27 is a decent area, and we’ve gotten to know the families who live nearby. On festival days, it gets really hectic and we barely have room to move behind the counter. Boxes piled up everywhere and everyone wanting their orders at the same time. But on a regular Tuesday, it’s much calmer. We just sit and wait for the regulars to stop by for their usual fix. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to manage with torches, which isn’t ideal, but we make it work. The shop itself is a bit old-fashioned. We haven't updated the paint in a while and the floor has some scuffs, but it’s home to us. We just focus on making the sweets and keeping the place clean enough for the customers. It's what we know how to do best, I guess. We enjoy the routine of it all.
