Brij Bhushan Dutta

My name is Brij Bhushan Dutta and I spend most of my days over at 1021 Manimajra on Lamington Road. It's a busy spot, always something happening outside the window. I’ve lived in this area for a long time before I even started working here. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside, but we keep it organized enough to know where everything is. Mostly, we deal with local folks who’ve known us for years. My family helps out when they can, especially during the peak hours when things get a bit hectic. I don’t really believe in those big advertisements you see on the main roads. I think if you do a decent job, people will tell their neighbors, and that’s how we’ve stayed open this long. The coffee machine in the corner is usually broken, so don’t expect a latte if you visit. We have some chairs if you need to wait, though they’ve seen better days. It gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of inventory coming in, but we manage. Lamington Road is a good place to be, even with the traffic being what it is. I usually open up early in the morning and stay until the sun goes down. It’s just how it’s always been done around here. We don't try to be anything we aren't. Just a local place doing its part for the people who live nearby.
