To get to where Babita works, you have to climb all the way to the top floor at 1089 Sector 19 on Yacoob Street. Those stairs really give you a workout every morning. Once you get up there, it’s actually quite nice because you’re away from the street noise. The room is small and gets very warm in the summer, but we have a big window that lets in a good breeze. We do a lot of sorting and checking here. Babita sits at the main table and I use the smaller one by the window. We’ve got stacks of paper everywhere, but somehow we know where everything is. Yacoob Street is always full of life, and sometimes we just look out the window to see what’s going on below. We don't have a receptionist, so when someone knocks on the door, one of us has to get up and see who it is. Usually, it’s just the delivery guy or a neighbor. We keep things very simple and don't spend money on fancy furniture or decorations. We have a small fridge for our lunch and a water cooler that leaks a little bit. It’s just a basic workspace where we handle the daily grind. It’s not perfect, but it’s our space and we’ve made it work for us for quite a while now. We usually pack up around six and head back down those long stairs.
