Anil Kumar Pal has been over at 62 Manimajra M M C Road in Mahim for quite some time now. This part of Mahim is always humming with life. The M M C Road can get pretty packed with traffic, especially in the evenings, but inside the shop, things are a bit more relaxed. It’s not a big place, just enough room for the essentials and a small spot to sit. Anil usually handles everything himself or with a little help when it’s needed. We don't have any big mission statements or glossy brochures lying around. Most people find us just by walking past or hearing about us from someone else in the area. The walls are a little faded, and the floor has some scuffs from years of feet coming in and out. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don't use complicated computer systems for everything; sometimes a notebook and a pen are just faster. The air feels different here than in the newer parts of the city. It’s a bit more lived-in. We have a small window that lets in some light, and we keep a calendar pinned to the wall to track the days. It’s a humble setup, but it’s ours. We don't try to be anything we aren't. If you need something, you just come in and ask. That’s how things have always worked on M M C Road.
