Our spot is at 3785 Netaji Subhash Marg. Being in Daryaganj means there’s always something happening right outside the door. It’s a crowded part of town, full of old buildings and narrow streets. Western Engineering Co. has been part of this neighborhood for a good while. Inside, you’ll mostly hear the sound of metal or the hum of old fans. It’s not the quietest office, but it’s where we get things sorted. We don't have a big reception desk or anyone in a suit waiting to greet you. Usually, you’ll just find one of us with grease on our hands or looking over a drawing. The walls are covered with old calendars and notes we’ve scribbled over the months. We do engineering work, the practical kind. If something breaks or needs making, we look at it. There’s no magic to it, just time and some tools. Sometimes we stay late when a job gets complicated, but usually, we close up and head out when the sun goes down. Daryaganj has a certain smell and feel to it that you get used to over time. We like it here despite the noise and the dust. We aren't trying to be the biggest company around. We just want to do what we do without too much fuss. Every day is pretty much the same, and that’s fine with us. It's a steady way to live and we've grown to appreciate the routine of this place.
