A. P. Engineering & Allied Industries

You can find A. P. Engineering & Allied Industries over at Z-19 A, Gali No. 4. We are right in the heart of the Anand Parbat Industrial Area, which means it is always loud and there is always smoke or dust in the air. That is just how life is in this part of Delhi. We do a lot of engineering work here, mostly metal parts and small industrial bits that people need. Our shop is full of old machines that have seen a lot of use, but they still run okay if you know how to talk to them. It is a bit of a squeeze inside with all the raw materials stacked up against the walls. We have a few guys working the lathes and presses every day. Sometimes the heat gets to be a lot in the summer, but we just keep the fans going and keep working. Gali No. 4 is a narrow street, so getting trucks in and out can be a real headache sometimes. We’ve had some close calls with the neighbors' deliveries, but we all look out for each other. It isn't a high-tech facility by any means. It’s just a place where we put in the hours and make sure the parts are the right size. We don't spend money on fancy paint or nice furniture because it would just get dirty anyway. It is honest work and it keeps the lights on for everyone working here.
