Baljit Engineering Works

Our workshop is located at 8 Anand Parbat Main Road. It’s a busy street and there is always a lot of noise from the traffic and other shops nearby. Baljit Engineering Works has been around for a long time. We handle a lot of metal work, mostly turning and milling on the lathes. The floor is usually covered in metal chips and oil, which is just how it is in a machine shop. We aren't trying to look pretty for customers. We have some old machines that have been running since my father's time, and they still do a better job than some of the new stuff. The main road is always crowded, so getting materials delivered can be a headache sometimes. We usually have a few tea breaks during the day to stay sane. It’s hard work and your hands are never really clean, even after scrubbing them. We don’t do any advertising. People find us because we’ve been at this address for decades. Some days are slow and we just sit and clean the tools, other days we are working late into the night. It’s just a standard engineering shop. There are no fancy offices here, just the sound of metal hitting metal and the smell of cutting oil. We like it that way. It is a noisy place but it is where we belong after all these years.
