The Giftery

You can find us at G3 23/23B Emca House on Ansari Road. We are in the Dayal Ganj area of Delhi. The building is pretty well-known around here. We have a lot of different gift items scattered around the place. It’s not the biggest shop, but we try to keep it interesting. There are always boxes being taped up and labels being written out. Ansari Road can get quite congested with all the traffic, but inside Emca House, it’s a bit more manageable. We spend a lot of time just looking for new things to put on the shelves. It’s not a high-pressure environment. People come in, look around, and usually find something they like. We’ve been here for some time now and have gotten to know the other people in the building. It’s a mix of offices and shops. Our space has a lot of shelves that we built ourselves to fit everything. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when we get a big delivery, but we manage. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just want to have enough variety so that someone walking in doesn't leave empty-handed. It’s a lot of small tasks, like dusting the ornaments or checking the stock levels. We just show up every morning, open the shutters, and see what the day brings. It’s a good way to make a living for our small team.
