Shobhit Metal

Shobhit Metal is tucked away in Multani Dhanda, over in Paharganj. If you know the area, you know it’s crowded and the lanes are narrow. We’re at 8837/2. We deal with various metals, mostly scrap and some new sheets depending on what people are looking for. The shop has been here for years, and it hasn't changed much. The walls could use a bit of paint, but we’re more focused on moving the stock. It’s loud around here with all the other workshops and the rickshaws constantly passing by. We start early in the morning because that’s when the deliveries usually arrive. My nephew helps me with the lifting and the books. We aren't big on computers; we still write most things down in the ledger. Sometimes it’s hard to find a specific part in the pile, but we usually know where everything is. It’s dusty work, and your hands stay dirty most of the day. We get a lot of regular customers from the nearby areas who need bits and pieces for their own projects. We don't promise anything fancy, just the metal you need at a price that works for both of us. Paharganj is a tough place to work sometimes because of the heat and the crowds, but it’s home for us. We just keep our heads down and do the work. There's always something to organize or a truck to unload before we close the shutters for the night.
