Bhatia Steel

You can find us at Motia Khan, right near the Sunshine Hotel. It’s a noisy part of the city because of all the metal work going on. Our yard is full of steel, and there’s always a truck trying to reverse into the narrow space. We’ve been here for years, and the hotel next door is a good landmark for people who can't find us. The ground is usually covered in scrap and bits of iron. It’s a tough environment, especially when it rains and everything gets muddy. We don't have a big fancy showroom. It’s just us, the steel, and the weighing scale. We spend our day checking the weights and making sure the loading is done right. If the loading isn't balanced, it's a problem for the driver. My hands are usually dirty by ten in the morning, and that’s just how it is. We talk to the drivers, share some news, and keep the business running. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit. You need tough boots and a bit of patience. The sun beats down on the yard in the afternoon, and we usually take a breather in the small shade we have. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. We just sell steel to whoever needs it for their construction or workshop. It’s simple and it works for us every single day.
