Shades Of India

Shades Of India is located at F-237 in New Rajinder Nagar. We’ve been in this part of New Delhi for quite some time now. Our space is filled with fabrics and samples because that is what we do. We work on a lot of different designs and textile projects every day. It’s not always the cleanest looking place because there are always threads or cloth pieces lying around, but that’s just part of the process of making things. New Rajinder Nagar has a nice local feel to it, and we like being part of the community here. We have a few people who have been with us since the beginning. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with big meetings and suits. We’re usually just in our everyday clothes, working on the next set of patterns or checking on orders. It’s a lot of manual work and paying attention to small details that others might miss. Sometimes things get a bit chaotic when a big shipment is coming in or going out, but we manage somehow. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just one that does honest work with textiles and design. If you walk past F-237, you might hear the sound of machines or people talking about colors and textures. That is just us doing what we know how to do every day.
