Sethi Steel & Metal Works

We’ve been here in Pahar Ganj at Msc 170 and 172A for a long time now. It is usually pretty noisy around here because of all the cutting and welding we do every day. The workshop at Yog Maya Multani Dhanda gets dusty, and we are usually covered in some kind of metal filings by noon. It isn't a fancy place. We have some old machines and a few new ones too. Our days start early when the tea stall nearby opens up. We just handle whatever metal work comes through the door. Sometimes it is a small repair for a neighbor, and other times it is a bigger order that takes us all week to finish. The floors are never really clean, but that is just how a steel shop is. We know most of the people on this street by name. If you walk past, you’ll probably hear the grinders going. We don’t really do much advertising. People just find us because we have been in this spot forever. It gets hot in the summer, especially with the furnaces running, but we are used to it. We just keep our heads down and do the work. There is always a stack of iron rods or sheets waiting in the corner. It's just a regular shop where we get our hands dirty and try to get things done without making too much of a fuss about it.
