Ram Parshad Ram Chand

Main Bazaar in Pahar Ganj is a crazy place, honestly. It’s always loud, there’s always someone shouting or a bike honking, and right at 4470, you’ll find Ram Parshad Ram Chand. We’ve been in this spot for a very long time. The building is old and shows its age, but it’s sturdy. Inside, it’s a bit darker and cooler than the street. We deal with all sorts of people coming in from the bazaar. Some are locals we’ve known for decades, and some are travelers who look a bit lost. We don't have a website or fancy brochures. We just have our stock and our ledgers. The shelves go all the way to the ceiling, and sometimes you need a ladder that’s a bit wobbly to reach the top stuff. My grandfather worked here, and we still use some of the same old wooden counters. It’s dusty, and the tea we drink is usually lukewarm by the time we get to it. We don't have a mission statement or any of that talk. We just open the doors early in the morning, sweep the front step, and see who shows up. Pahar Ganj has changed a lot, but our little corner at 4470 stays pretty much the same. It’s just how we like it.
