Laxmi Sons

Laxmi Sons has been tucked away here on Hari Singh Nalwa Street for a long time. Our address is 1192/5, right in the heart of the Karol Bagh market area where the streets are narrow and always full of people moving stuff. It’s a family thing, really. My father was here before me, and I’ll probably be here for a long time too. The shop isn't big. We have these old wooden counters that have gone smooth from years of people leaning on them. We don't really do much fancy stuff, just handle the daily business as it comes through the door. Some mornings are slow and we just sit and watch the cycle rickshaws go by. Other times, three people are asking for things at once and the phone is ringing off the hook. The walls could use a new coat of paint, and the light flickers sometimes when the power gets shaky, but it feels like home. We know most of the people on this street by name. We share snacks in the afternoon and complain about the heat together. It’s just a regular place where we try to get the work done without too much fuss. We don't have any big slogans or anything like that. We just open up the shutters, sweep the front, and wait for the day to start. It isn't always easy keeping track of everything in such a small space, but we manage just fine.
