Prince Engineering Works

At Prince Engineering Works we are located in Anand Parbat Gali No 10 which is right in the middle of the Industrial Area 3. This place is not quiet at all because there is always the sound of metal hitting metal and the hum of big machines running. Our shop is at number 3 and it is usually covered in a thin layer of machine oil and iron filings. My clothes always have some grease on them by the end of the day and that is just how it is when you work with your hands. We spend our time cutting metal and welding and making sure the parts are the right size. Gali No 10 is a busy street with trucks loading and unloading all day long so there is always something happening. It gets very hot in the summer because of the machines and the tin roof but we have a few big pedestal fans that help a little bit. We do not have any fancy furniture just some heavy workbenches and tool racks that have been around for years. People come to us when they need something made or repaired and we just get to work on it. The Industrial Area 3 has its own rhythm and we are just one part of that noise. It is hard work and it is loud but it feels good to finish a job and see the finished metal piece sitting on the bench.
