Nitin Automobiles

We are located right on the corner of Shivaji Street and Hari Singh Nalwa Street, at 9993/2. Nitin Automobiles is basically a second home for most of us. Karol Bagh is always moving, and this little patch of it is no different. We deal with cars and the bits that make them run. Some days are just chaos with everyone wanting their stuff at the same time. I’ve got oil under my fingernails pretty much constantly. The shop floor is usually crowded with boxes that just arrived or old parts waiting to be hauled away. We don’t have a fancy showroom. It’s just a counter, some shelves, and a lot of knowledge about engines. My father started things off, and I’ve been here since I was a kid. You see the same faces every week, mostly local mechanics who need parts for their customers. We have a small fan that rattles in the corner, trying to keep the heat away, but it doesn't do much in July. People stop by to chat even when they don't need to buy anything. It’s a community thing. We keep a ledger for the regular accounts and try to stay on top of the paperwork, though it piles up on the desk. It’s a lot of standing around and lifting things, but that’s the job. We just keep the doors open and see who walks in next to find what they need.
