Kakkar International

You can find Kakkar International over at 2/994, right where Hari Singh Nalwa Street and Shivaji Street meet in Karol Bagh. It's a very busy corner with a lot of foot traffic. We’ve been operating from this spot for a good while now. Despite the name International sounding a bit grand, we are just a local bunch working out of this old building. The stairs are pretty narrow and the rooms are always full of inventory. We handle various types of goods, mostly things related to the auto trade since that’s what this whole neighborhood is built on. It’s always a bit of a scramble getting things delivered or picked up because the lanes are so tight for the trucks. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or checking through long handwritten lists. There isn't much room for a lounge or a waiting area, so we usually just stand around the main desk. It’s a very practical and basic setup. No one here wears a suit or tie. We just wear what's comfortable for a long day of moving boxes. The street outside never really seems to sleep. There is always someone moving a crate or a scooter nearby. We like the energy of Karol Bagh. It keeps us moving. We don’t have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just open the doors every morning and get to work. It's noisy, but it is our home.
