The office here in Aram Bagh gets pretty bright in the mornings because of the way the sun hits the windows at 46C. It is a Type B spot, so it is not huge, but we have enough space for what we do every day. Most of us have been coming here for a few years now, navigating the New Delhi traffic which never seems to let up. You get used to the sounds of the neighborhood after a while. The desks are a bit cluttered with papers and samples, but that is just how things go when you are busy. Sometimes the power goes out for a few minutes, so we just sit and talk until the generator kicks in. It is not a fancy place with glass walls or anything like that. We just have our work benches and the storage area in the back. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't found the time to move everything out of the way yet. Aram Bagh is a central enough place that it makes sense for us to stay here. We have some tea from the stall around the corner twice a day. Usually, someone brings in snacks to share during the afternoon slump. It is just a regular workplace where people show up, do their jobs, and head home to their families when the sun goes down. Anyway, that is pretty much the daily routine for us here.
