G L Builders LLP is based at 8, Hailey Road. It’s a bit of an older part of New Delhi, right in the 110001 zip code area. Being in Central Delhi has its perks, mostly because we’re close to everything, but the traffic on the way to the office can be a real pain some mornings. The office itself is at number 8, and it has that old-school feel to it with high ceilings and heavy doors. We have several big tables where we spread out drawings and contracts. It’s not the quietest place because Hailey Road stays busy, but we’ve gotten used to the background noise. We spend a lot of our time coordinating with different contractors and making sure the supplies show up where they are supposed to. Sometimes things go according to plan, and other times we’re scrambling to fix a mistake someone made three days ago. That’s just how building things works. There isn't much in the way of decoration here, just a few calendars on the walls and a bunch of half-empty water bottles. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the office. We just need a place to sit and handle the business side of things. Most of us have been working together for years, so we don’t really need many formal meetings. We just shout across the room if something comes up. It’s a simple setup for a local team in the heart of the city.
