Telo Farmer'S Producer Company Limited is based out of Junero in Bokaro. Bivha Davi is the person we coordinate with. Bokaro is often thought of for its steel plant, but out here in Junero, it is all about the farms. We are a group of local growers who decided to stop working in isolation. It was getting too expensive to buy fertilizers and seeds on our own. Now we try to buy things together to save a bit of money. We grow the usual stuff like rice and vegetables that do well in this Jharkhand climate. Our office is just a simple room at the house in Junero. We don't have a receptionist or fancy computers. We keep our notes in registers and talk face-to-face. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to do everything by candlelight. Farming in Bokaro has its challenges, especially with the soil quality in some patches. We spend a lot of time helping each other figure out the best way to plant. We are just a group of neighbors, really. There is no hierarchy here, just people who have been farming for generations trying to adapt to how things work now. We aren't looking for fame, just a way to make sure our harvests don't go to waste. It’s a practical, everyday struggle, but we are doing it together as a team. We just hope the next season brings enough rain for all of us in the village.
