We are over at 01, C/O-Narayan Mahtomahto, At Mahuatand. This is where Gomia Producer Company Limited runs its business. Mahuatand is our home, and most of us have lived here since we were kids. Narayan’s place serves as our main point of contact. We are a producer company, which basically means we are a lot of local folks working together so we don't get pushed around by the bigger buyers. We handle a lot of the local produce that comes through Gomia. The work isn't always easy. There are days when the logistics of getting things from Mahuatand to the market feels like more trouble than it's worth. But we stick together and get it done. We don't have a fancy website or a big advertising budget. Most people find out about us just by talking to their neighbors. We use simple English and keep our records in a way that everyone can understand. We don't like to overcomplicate things. If the harvest is good, we are happy. If the harvest is bad, we figure out a way to manage. It's a very straightforward way of living. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world, just a reliable one for the people right here in our part of the country. We take things one day at a time and try to stay busy.
