Jaridih Tejas Farmer Producer Company Limited

Jaridih Tejas Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of the Chas Road area in Jainmore. We are right there near Mahadev Manjhijena's place in the Jaridih block. It is not a big fancy office or anything like that. We are just a group of local people who know about farming and decided to work together. Most days you will find us sitting around talking about the crops or the weather. It gets quite dusty on the road, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the place up. We started this because the farmers around here needed a better way to get their things to the market. We use simple registers to keep track of everything. It’s a lot of hard work under the sun. We don't have a lot of big machines. It is mostly just people doing what they have done for years but trying to be a bit more organized about it. The neighbors often drop by just to say hello or ask about the price of seeds. We like it that way because it keeps us connected to the village. There is nothing corporate about how we run things. We just try to make sure everyone gets a fair deal. Some days are slow and others are very busy when it's time to harvest. We just take it as it comes and try to do our best by the land and each other.
