Bokaro Farms Private Limited is basically run out of a residential quarter in Sector 03D. The address is Quarter Number 0448, and it’s under S N Roy’s name. Being in Bokaro Steel City, you’d expect everything to be about steel, but we are looking at the farming side of things. It’s a bit unusual to have a farm company based in a government-style quarter, but that’s where we started. We do a lot of our work through meetings in the living room and visiting sites outside the city. It’s a small, family-style business. We don't have a shiny lobby or a receptionist. If you knock on the door, you’re likely to find us working on some spreadsheets or talking to suppliers. The city layout in Bokaro is very structured, so finding Sec-03D isn't too hard. We handle various farm-related activities, mostly management and supply stuff. It’s a lot of back-and-forth between the city and the rural areas nearby. We just want to keep the business steady. We don't use big words to describe what we do; we just say we’re into farming and leave it at that. It’s a bit of a grind, dealing with the heat and the paperwork, but we’ve been doing it for a while now and we’re used to it. We try to keep things organized despite working from a home office, and somehow it all gets done at the end of the day.
