We have been here in Sector-6A for quite a while now. This house at Qr. No.-2084 is just one of many in Bokaro Steel City, but it is where we get things done every day. It is a quiet spot, really. You wake up, hear the distant hum of the plant, and start the day. There is not much fancy about it. We deal with steel stuff, mostly paperwork and making sure the shifts are lined up properly. Jharkhand weather can be a bit much in the summer, but we manage. The neighborhood is mostly other people working for Steel Authority Of India Limited, so we all know each other. It feels more like a community than just a job site. Sometimes the water pressure is low, or the power flickers, but that is just part of living in a township like this. We do not have a big front desk or anything. It is just an office run out of a quarter where we handle the daily grind. People drop by, we talk about the furnace schedules, and maybe have some tea if there is time. It is a simple life. We are not trying to change the world, just keeping the iron moving. It is hard work, and the dust gets everywhere, but it is our living. That is basically who we are here. No frills, just the steel life in Bokaro.
