Roy & Sinha

You can find Roy and Sinha in Bolpur, which is in the Birbhum district. We are located in the Beltala area. It’s a simple place in a part of West Bengal that is quite famous for Shantiniketan, but our work is more about the everyday needs of the town. We handle various goods and materials. The shop isn't anything special to look at. It has a tin roof and some wooden counters that have seen better days. We don't have any polished sales pitch or corporate flyers. We just sit here and wait for the locals to come by with their requirements. Sometimes we have to go out into the villages around Bolpur to see to things. The pace of life here is slower than in the big cities. We take our time with each person who walks in. There is usually a pot of tea going somewhere in the back. The walls are lined with whatever stock we have at the moment. We don't have a big sign or a logo. Everyone in Beltala knows who Roy and Sinha are, so we don't need much else. We deal with the heat in the summer and the rain in the monsoon, just like everyone else here. It’s a basic, honest business that has been part of the landscape for years. We just keep our heads down and do the work as it comes to us.
