Khan Enterprise

Khan Enterprise is based out of Basapara village in the Nanoor area of Birbhum. Our post office is in Chursala, but the shop itself is right here in the village where we grew up. It is a rural spot, surrounded by green fields and dirt paths. We started this enterprise with very little, just a small room and a desire to work for ourselves. Now, we have expanded a bit, but it is still a very modest setup. The walls are painted a simple blue, and we have a few old fans that hum loudly when the power is actually on. In Birbhum, you have to get used to the heat and the occasional power cuts. We do a lot of our work by the light coming through the door. It is a quiet place for the most part, except for the birds and the occasional motorbike passing by. We do not have any big corporate goals or anything like that. We just want to make sure we have what people need so they do not have to travel all the way to the bigger towns. We spend our days talking to the locals and keeping an eye on the stock. It is an honest way to make a living. We are just regular people trying to run a small business in our own village. It is nothing fancy, but it works for us and the people who live around here.
