Shantiniketan School And College is right there in Punjabi Colony, on the Main Road in Dayalband. Being in Bilaspur, it is a central spot. The school and college share the same general space. It is a busy road, so there is always the sound of horns and people moving about outside. The building is quite large and covers both the school and college sections. It is not a brand new facility, so it has some character to it, for better or worse. We have a lot of students from the local colony and surrounding areas. The classrooms are basic with standard benches and boards. We do not have a big fancy website or a marketing department. Most people in the neighborhood just know us because we have been here so long. The staff is local, and many of us have seen several generations of the same families come through these doors. It is a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes during the morning assembly, but we make it work. The playground is mostly dirt and a bit of grass, where the kids play when they have a chance. We do not pretend to be anything other than a local school. It is a practical place for the community to get an education without any unnecessary extras or high costs.
