Shanshkar Public School

Down here in Bilaspur, specifically in the 495334 area of Chhattisgarh, you’ll find Shanshkar Public School. It is one of those places that has just become a part of the landscape over the years. We are out here where things are a bit quieter than the big city centers, which is nice for a school setting. The daily routine is what keeps us going. We open the gates early, and the dust usually kicks up as the kids start arriving from the surrounding villages and neighborhoods. It’s a lot of work running a school in this part of Chhattisgarh, but we just take it one day at a time. We have a few buildings and some space for the kids to run around during their breaks. The weather can be quite something, especially in the summer months, but we are used to it by now. The staff here consists of local people who just want to do a decent job of teaching. We don’t have any fancy equipment or high-tech labs, just classrooms and books and teachers who show up every morning. Sometimes the power goes out, or the road gets a bit muddy when it rains, but we just keep things moving. It’s a practical place for practical people. Most of the families around here have known about us for a long time. There is always something to fix or a parent to talk to about their child’s progress, which fills up our time quite well.
