Sohagpur Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited is based over in Ward No 10, Ghargharaula, right near the Sub Post Office. Anant Kumar Tripathi is the person we use for our mailing address and meeting spot. We’re a group of local farmers who wanted to do things a bit differently. Instead of every person for themselves, we use this company to share the load. It’s a practical way to manage things like buying seeds and selling our harvests. Being near the post office is handy for the little bit of mail we get. Our days are mostly spent out in the fields, so the office isn't always full, but someone is usually around if you need to talk. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy sign. We just rely on the fact that we know our neighbors and they know us. The farming life in Sohagpur is tough, but we find that working together makes it a little bit easier. We talk about real things like the price of urea and which tractor parts are getting too expensive. It’s not a polished business. We have dusty boots and plenty of callouses on our hands. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. We just want to make sure the agriculture in this area stays strong and that our families are taken care of. It’s honest work, and we’re glad to be doing it here in Ghargharaula.
