Shubh Food Plaza

Shubh Food Plaza is right on Plate Form No 1 at the Habibganj Railway Station in Bhopal. If you’ve ever caught a train there, you’ve probably walked past us on Habibganj Road. Working at a railway station is different from any other kind of food place. The schedule is completely ruled by the trains. When a big express comes in, we are suddenly swamped with people looking for something to eat quickly before they have to get back on. Then it gets quiet for an hour until the next one arrives. We spend the quiet times cleaning and prepping for the next rush. It’s a bit of a strange way to live, always looking at the clock and the platform indicators. We don’t have fancy furniture because people are always in a hurry. It’s just a practical setup. The air is always a mix of engine smells and whatever we are cooking. We are just regular people working shifts here in Bhopal. We don't have any corporate slogans. It’s just us trying to serve food to travelers who are tired from their journey. Sometimes it’s chaotic, especially if a train is delayed and everyone is frustrated. We just handle it as it comes. It’s a steady job in a very busy place. Habibganj is a major spot, and we are just a small part of it. We keep the platform life going.
