Arvind Radio & Catering

We’re down in the basement of the Vijay Stambh building at Shop No 20. It’s in Zone-1 of M P Nagar, right across from the Axis Bank here in Bhopal. Arvind Radio & Catering is a bit of an old-school name, but it’s what we’ve always been. We do a mix of things, mostly catering these days, but the radio part of the name stays because that’s how we started. The basement shop is a bit cool even when it’s hot outside, which is nice when we’re prepping food. It’s not a big fancy kitchen, just our workspace where we get things ready for local events. Being in M P Nagar means we see a lot of foot traffic, though people have to come down the stairs to find us. We aren't polished business people. We’re usually wearing aprons and worrying about the next delivery. Sometimes we run out of space for all the pots and pans, but we make it work. We’ve been in this spot for years and the neighbors all know us. It’s a bit of a squeeze in Shop 20 when we have a big order, but we’re used to the tight space. We don't do much marketing, we just rely on people liking the food we make. It’s a family-style environment where everyone chips in. If you’re near the Axis Bank, you’re pretty much there. It is a simple life of cooking and delivering.
