Shanaez Parlour

Shanaez Parlour is tucked away on the first floor of the BDA Shopping Complex in Shivaji Nagar, Bhopal. Our specific spot is Shop No 334. If you are familiar with Stop No 7 in Shivaji Nagar, then you know exactly where we are. Being in a BDA complex gives the shop a very traditional feel, as these buildings have been a part of the city’s landscape for a long time. You have to walk up the stairs to reach us, which keeps us away from the immediate noise of the ground floor shops. The parlour is a place for women to get their regular grooming done, like eyebrows or hair trims. We have a few chairs and some older styling equipment that still works perfectly fine. The lighting inside is a bit soft, and we try to keep things as neat as possible. Bhopal can be quite calm, but this shopping complex gets a decent amount of foot traffic during the evenings. Many of our customers are ladies who live in the government quarters nearby or in the private houses around Shivaji Nagar. We don’t use any fancy language to describe what we do; it’s just a local parlour run by people who know the trade. We’ve been here for a good while and have seen many shops come and go in the complex, but we’ve stayed put. It’s a reliable little spot for the local community to visit whenever they need a bit of work done.
