Bihari Hair Dresser

Our shop is number 13 in the Nehru Nagar area of Bhopal. It is not a very big space, but we have made it work for a long time. The address is easy to find if you know the block. I usually open up early before the sun gets too hot. The first thing I do is set out the combs and check the spray bottles. We have a few old pictures on the wall that have been there since I can remember. The floor is concrete and stays relatively cool. Most of our customers are from the houses nearby and they have been coming to us for years. We talk about their kids or their jobs while I cut their hair. It is a very normal, everyday kind of place. I don't use any of those expensive products you see in the mall. Just the basics that have always worked fine. Sometimes I sit on the stool out front when there are no customers. You can see the neighborhood life happening right on the street. Shop number 13 is just a small part of it. The scissors need oiling every now and then to keep them moving smooth. I don't have any staff, it is just me and the work. People like it because it is familiar and they know what to expect. It is a quiet way to spend the day in Nehru Nagar. I am happy with how things are.
