Sarvahitaay Farmer Producer Company Limited

Sarvahitaay Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Khandera village in the Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh. We mostly operate from Malkhan Singh’s place, he’s the son of Pramnarayan. It’s a real family-and-neighbor kind of thing. In a place like Raisen, everyone knows everyone, so starting a farmer company was just a natural step for us. We aren't experts in business or anything; we are just people who know how to grow crops. The whole idea was to stop being pushed around by middlemen. Now, we try to handle our own sales and buying of supplies. It gets pretty hectic during harvest time, and sometimes the paperwork gets a bit confusing, but we figure it out as we go. We don't have a big office with air conditioning. Our office is usually the porch or the back of a tractor. We talk about what’s working in the fields and what isn’t. It’s about helping each other out in the village. If one farmer has a problem, the rest of us try to help fix it. That’s why we picked the name Sarvahitaay, though we don't spend much time thinking about the name. We spend more time thinking about the soil and the weather. It is a humble life, and we are just trying to make it a bit more stable for the folks here in Khandera. It is honest work and we are proud of that.
