Komil Ram, who is the son of Chotey Laldugriya, runs Salarpur Farmers Producer Company Limited from his home. We are a bunch of local guys from the Salarpur area. Farming is what we know best. Our office is just where Komil lives, so it feels very personal. People walk in and out all day. We deal with whatever the farmers need, like getting better seeds or figuring out where to sell the harvest. It’s not a polished business. There are bags of grain and old papers on the table. We spend a lot of time outside in the sun. The Salarpur region has good soil if you treat it right. We talk a lot about the water levels and the cost of fertilizer. Chotey Laldugriya’s family has been here a long time. That helps because people trust us. We don't use big words or have long meetings. Usually, we just sit on the porch and make decisions. Life is about the seasons and the crops. When the harvest is ready, things get very hectic around here. We try to keep things moving so nobody loses money. It is just honest work in a small place.
